Boys & Girls Clubs of the Wiregrass offers a exciting and enriching Summer Programs designed to keep kids active, engaged, and learning throughout the summer break. Our program provides a safe, fun, and structured environment where children can explore new interests, build friendships, and create lifelong memories.

Up Next! Program

The Up Next Program supports Club members ages 13 to 18 in exploring careers in youth or human services, particularly Boys & Girls Club work. Participants in this program, known as Up Next Leaders, take on meaningful roles within the Club, developing leadership skills while making a positive impact on younger members.

Participation Requirements:
Youth who wish to participate in the Up Next program must complete the Up Next Membership Packet, available on our FORMS page.

All accepted participants must attend mandatory training, which is held during the last week of May. Specific training dates can be found in the application packet.

Program Commitment:

Participants Must Commit to:

  • Application and interview process.
  • Summer Program: A minimum of 3 days per week for 4 hours per day.
  • After-School Program: A minimum of 3 days per week for 2 hours per day.
  • A $25 annual membership fee is required if selected for the program. *There is no additional cost to participate as a volunteer.

The Up Next program is a fantastic opportunity for teens to gain valuable experience, develop leadership skills, and contribute meaningfully to their Club community. Through this program, participants step up as role models, build confidence, and prepare for future success.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We do offer partial financial assistance for our summer program. Funding is limited.   
Please get your application in early. It takes up to 2 weeks to process once application is received.

Slots are NOT held until your child's membership application is received with a Down Payment. 

Everyone wishing to attend MUST pay a portion of the program fees. We do not give 100% financial assistance.

Application deadline is April 30th, for Summer,  if funding/slot availability lasts that long.  Applications must be complete to be considered for assistance.  This means all required forms must be included.  Incomplete forms will be discarded so please read instructions carefully.
